Admissions Tours and Events

To ensure that all families understand the school’s philosophy and have a chance to experience our community, we believe it is important to visit the school. We offer two ways to see the school: parent/guardian tours and open houses. We encourage families to attend both.  Applications can be downloaded from our website, are available during open houses and tours, or can be mailed upon request.

Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten Open Houses (reservations recommended)
  • Saturday, October 16, 2010, 10:00 A.M.–12:00 P.M.
  • Saturday, October 23, 2010  10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M.

Transitional Kindergarten–Eighth Grade Open House (reservations recommended)

  • Saturday, November 13, 2010, 10:00 A.M.–12:00 P.M.

Middle School Open House (reservations recommended)

  • Wednesday, January 26, 2011, 6:00–8:00 P.M.

Open houses are offered outside regular school hours and provide an excellent opportunity to learn more about progressive education and our program. You will hear from our Head of School, attend classroom mini sessions led by PHS teachers, explore the building and have an opportunity to hear more about Presidio Hill from current middle school students. Children in third grade and above are encouraged to join their parent(s)/guardian(s) at an open house. Reservations are recommended for open houses; email Laura Novia or call extension 104 to make a reservation.

School Tours (Tuesdays)
Parent/guardian tours are given during the school day and provide an opportunity to visit classrooms, learn more about our program and ask questions. Reservations are required for tours.  Email Laura Novia or call extension 104 to make a tour reservation.

Tours are from 8:45 A.M–10:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M.-11:15 A.M.

Information Night for Diverse Families (reservations appreciated)
  • Thursday, January 13, 2011, 6:00–7:30 P.M.

This event is for families of color and gay and lesbian families.
