The Defiant Ones
Here's a great article about a current trend in children's book publishing. It highlights the common "mash-up" of children's literature, parenting, and historical context.Also, three cheers for Kevin Henkes whom the author lauds for writing relevant, sensible and sensitive children's books. I love him.
