Presidio Hill School is committed to helping its graduating students and families find the best educational fit for their high school years. 

Our high school placement program assists families with every aspect of the high school selection and application process, beginning in the spring of seventh grade and ending with high school placement in the winter of eighth grade.

The process begins in the seventh grade when students participate in a test-taking strategies class. This class helps prepare students to take the various high school admissions examinations they will encounter through the high school application process.  In early June of seventh grade, parents and students attend a meeting where the application process is explained and helpful resources are identified.  Over the following months, the Presidio Hill School high school placement counselor meets with each family individually to talk about the specific needs and interests of each student.  

In eighth grade, students enroll in a High School Counseling class that meets weekly during the first semester and focuses on all aspects of the high school application process for independent, parochial, charter, public, public alternative and boarding schools.  Topics covered include test-taking skills, essay writing, interview techniques and decision-making strategies.

Presidio Hill School students attend a broad range of high schools, reflecting the diversity and individual interests of the student body.  In the past several years Presidio Hill School students have enrolled in the following schools:  Bay, Convent, Drew, Jewish Community, International, Lick Wilmerding, Lowell, Marin Academy, Saint Ignatius, Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep, School of the Arts, Stuart Hall, University and Urban.
