Application Process

Thank you for your interest in Presidio Hill School. Apply online or follow the steps below to successfully complete the Presidio Hill application process. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact Kelly Dees.

1. Schedule a school visit

Our tours and open house events are tailored by grade level and can be explored from our Get Started & Visit Us page and booked directly through Ravenna Hub starting in late August. This year, mindful of public health, we will feature a variety of opportunities to engage with the school in virtual/distance formats.

2. Complete the application

Submit your application online through Ravenna Hub. Applications for TK-5 are due on December 20th, 2021 and 6-8 applications are due on February 4, 2022. Alternatively, paper application materials are available upon request. Please complete the application and submit it electronically or return it, together with the $100 application fee, to the admission office. Students applying to grades 6–8 are also required to submit a student portion of the application as a step within Ravenna. Contact Kelly Dees for an application fee waiver if your financial circumstances so warrant.

3. Submit the student evaluation form

Email the confidential teacher evaluation form for Grades TK-K or Grades 2–8 through the Ravenna delegation feature to your child's current teacher to complete and return directly to the Presidio Hill School Admission office by December 20, 2021 for TK-5 and February 4, 2022 for 6-8.

4. Submit the records release form

Email the Records Release Form (Grades 1–5 or Grades 6–8) through Ravenna to your child's current school so the school may send these records directly to our admission office by December 20, 2021 for TK-5 and Friday, February 4, 2022 for 6-8.

5. Schedule a parent/guardian interview

Once your application is received, you will be prompted to schedule a parent/guardian interview. We hope to meet all involved parent/guardians in the same meeting, if possible! Once you book your time, Kelly Dees will send you a Zoom link for the appointed time.

6. Schedule a student assessment

Student assessments are scheduled through Ravenna Hub once we receive your application.

In response to the continued impact of COVID-19, a number of Bay Area independent schools are changing our approach to Kindergarten Screenings. In the past, families were required to visit each school in person in order to complete their required kindergarten assessment. For the 2021-22 admissions season, Presidio Hill School will accept one set of Shared Kindergarten Videos in lieu of the previously required kindergarten visit. Videos can be filmed on a cell phone in the comfort of your home or any other setting. No special preparation, materials, or equipment will be required. Detailed instructions on how to complete this requirement will be communicated later this fall.

Required of all our Grade 6-8 student applicants. Typically, we host students for a Saturday morning in February which consists of team building, art & athletic activities and academic assessments. Please check back towards the end of December for our final decision. Please save the morning of March 5, 2022. If our approach needs to shift due to the current health crisis, we will communicate an alternative

We are hopeful that we will be able to resume in person assessments and shadow visits later this Admission Season if possible. We will send further communication closer to the assessment dates with updates and more details.

7. Learn about our flexible tuition process (optional)

Please visit Affording Presidio Hill School for information about our flexible tuition program and the application process.
