Congratulations, Class of 2014! (June 2018)
Where does the time go? Our Class of 2014 is getting ready to graduate high school this month, and they've got big plans for the years ahead. We enjoyed having the group back at PHS for a potluck dinner, where alumni and their families reconnected with friends and teachers, had fun looking through old yearbooks, and got a special tour of the recently-opened Maple Street building. Celebrating 100 years of learning (March 2018)
We were thrilled to celebrate our Centennial with students, alumni, and community members from around the world. Alumni at our Open House event on Saturday, March 3rd ranged from ages 14-90. Some are familiar faces around PHS, while others hadn't returned to Presidio Hill since their graduation. Our most "local" alumni walked just a few blocks to visit us, several flew in from across the United States, and one alumna traveled all the way from Madrid, Spain to attend! For more information, photos, and stories, click "Celebrating 100 Years" on the sidebar.
Ann Meissner retires after 40 years of service (June 2016)
Ann Meissner has worn many hats at PHS, from longtime Kindergarten Teacher to Director of Learning Services and High School Placement Counselor. Though she will be missed, we wish Ann well as she moves up to Ashland, Oregon, with her husband Mark this summer. Ann will be succeeded by James Wygant, 8th Grade Humanities Teacher and High School Placement Counselor, as well as Brian Johnson, 8th Grade English Teacher and 7th and 8th Grade Learning Specialist.
You can contact Ann at email@example.com.
Class of 2012 Reunion (June 2016)
Our PHS graduates from just four years ago are off to college! From the East to the West Coasts of the U.S., PHS graduates are taking the world by storm!
Thanks to all the alumni and their parents who came out to celebrate their success with us. We love to hear from our alumni, so please take a minute to let us know where you are now. And don't forget to come back and visit!
Julia Collins '92, Eric Friedman '84, Join Board of Trustees (May 2016)
Julia Collins, Founder and CEO of Zume Pizza, is joining the Board of Trustees for the 2016-17 school year. She will be joined by another PHS alum, Eric Friedman '84. We can't wait to bring them on board and work with them to engage our beloved alumni!
May Festival Alumni Brunch was a success! (May 2016)
We had around 15 alumni and alumni parents from all years come back and celebrate May Festival with us this year. Thanks for sharing your memories of this special school. We hope you enjoyed your time catching up with friends and learning more about our future! If you weren't able to make it, that is okay! Please save the date for next year's event, which will take place the first Sunday in May.
If you have pictures from this event that you would like to share, please email them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Maple Street Building Opening Celebration (April 2016)
Since 2013, PHS parents, staff, and trustees have been working in tandem to raise the $14.6 million needed to complete the Maple Street project. In April 2016, the doors of 233 Maple finally opened to the TK-2 students and teachers who now begin and end their days in this beautiful space.
The Maple Street project is not yet finished, and we are still raising funds to finish the third floor (which will house the Business and Development offices), the lower school play yard, and other repairs needed for the Washington Street building. To make a gift to help us finish this project, click here. To schedule a tour, please e-mail Kenta Ferrin, Director of Development, at email@example.com
