PHS Third-Party Websites and Services Notice

Connected to our progressive education mission and values, Presidio Hill School investigates and pilots new digital tools for appropriate use in our classrooms. In order for our students to use these programs and services, certain personally identifying information, generally consisting of the student’s name and their school email address, must be provided to the website operator. 
The following lists the websites and apps utilized by students at Presidio Hill School. Websites and apps may not be used by all grades or by all levels. While no vendor will offer a guarantee of complete and perpetual security, the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy statements for the vendors listed have been vetted (as are updates and changes to them) to verify that appropriate security and privacy measures are in place to protect those using the service.

School Platform Tools

PHS utilizes InResonance and Blackbaud K-12 for Course Management and Learning Management. In addition, the school uses the following.

Google Apps for Education (GAFE) (1-12) Includes Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Calendar Privacy Policy 
Benefits of GAFE 
Students from grades TK through 8 have Google Apps for Education (GAFE) accounts. Grades TK-5 do not have access to email from outside the school domain. These students are able to share documents internally only. Grades 6-8 have access to email and sharing in and out of the institution. Grades 3-8 use Google Classroom. Google Messaging and Hangouts are unavailable to students.

Synchronous Virtual Learning Tools

Google Meet Circumstances may arise in which Presidio Hill School will use video conferencing services, such as Google Meet, in addition to our Learning Management system, GSuite and other web-based tools. Children's Educational Privacy Statement

Classroom Software

  • Google Apps hosts email and a collaborative office suite where users can communicate via electronic messages and chats, as well as, work simultaneously on a shared document. Privacy Policy; Terms of Service

  • Literably is reading comprehension assessment and learning platform used by LS students. Privacy Policy
  • Typing Club is an interactive typing learning platform used by Grades 3-5. Privacy Policy
  • ixl.com is an interactive math and reading learning platform used by LS and MS students. Privacy Policy
  • Newsela is an instructional content tool that allows teachers to find articles, text sets, and more at appropriate reading levels and from a variety of sources. Privacy Policy
  • Book Creator enables students to create and read multimodal digital books. Privacy Policy
  • Learning Ally a digital library app (web, iOS, Android) that features human-voiced audiobooks Privacy Policy

  • Flip allows educators to create safe groups for students to engage in curriculum using short video, text, and audio messages. Privacy Policy
