Sign Bombing with Children!
In the 2017-2018 school year, PHS fifth graders experienced an amazing art collaborative experience working with the San Francisco based street artist known as fnnch. Students were inspired by his message that art can and should be accessible by all people, and fifth graders were excited by the fact that graffiti can have a positive impact on the community (especially when it includes an adorable honey bear!) Fifth grade students spent two weeks creating their own versions of fnnch‘ honey bear, including elements of their own identity and self-expression. We then “sign bombed” the Inner Richmond up and down Clement Street.
